We had such a fun time at Alabama Power's Family Counts Day today! Apparently this has been going on for years and we just never knew about it. We'll definitely be going every year from now on. It was awesome! They really go all out and every bit of it is free, which is one of our most favorite things. :)
They had a huge tent set up to sit and eat all the yummy food. Big buffets of hamburgers, hot dogs, pasta salad, fruit salad, Full Moon bbq, baked beans, potato salad, chips, desserts galore (including the yummy chocolate dipped Full Moon cookies) and coolers full of ice cream. It was amazing! There were also tents with corn dogs, turkey legs, funnel cakes and lots of huge bins full of water, soft drinks and sweet tea all around the fair grounds. All free! Whatttt?? We could hardly believe our eyes and totally over indulged.
We hit the buffet first thing. Sam was amazed at the spread. ha!
Digging in!
Sam liked the big drink tubs!
His first ever 'ride'! He got this little truck all to himself. No fear or hesitation at all. He loved it! He loved driving with both steering wheels the whole ride.
Onto the next ride. Ladybugs! This one went a good bit faster, but he hung on and had a blast. He rode this one later in the day too. So fun!
With my babies! 39 weeks today!
Sam's never really been in a jump house because there's always so many older kids that could jump on him. They had a ton of them out there today and this one was empty!
We weren't sure if he was big enough for this froggie ride. The guy didn't say no so up he rode. When they put the bar down it completely covered his face. We didn't know what he thought about the ride because we couldn't see him! No tears so I guess he liked it ok :)
He looked so little!
So high up!
I was sure he wouldn't like this one, but it was his favorite! Lots of spinning around with daddy. He laughed and smiled ear to ear the whole time!
I snuck on this little ride. It was very very slow and easy. Just a slow rock back and forth. Glad I got to ride one with him! :)
They even had a petting zoo! Checking out the baby pig.
These goats were literally standing on top of each other trying to get to the food! Sam loved it.
Getting a tiger paw airbrush tattoo
Playing games with daddy. Again, totally free! And you didn't even have to actually win the game to get a prize. Thank goodness. We weren't so good!
I missed on all my turns so Sam took things into his own hands!
Ice cream time!
So glad we had wipes!
His first balloon animal. A bee! Bees go 'zoooommm' and give 'mama booboos' ha! Sam will never forget me being attacked by a bee in the car.
They even had a pumpkin painting area with the sweetest little pumpkins. He didn't want to leave. I kept asking if he was done and he'd say 'no. another!' because he wanted another color. He would've stayed here for an hour if we let him. The boy likes to color! He was very proud of his finished pumpkin.
Overall, such a fun day! Thankful we found out about this and I hope we get to go again next year!
